    So Much More Than That

From the start, Bersih has always been, and always should be, a peaceful rally for clean elections. There is nothing political about it, and regardless of which party you support, I don't see why one would not agree, because the alternative is that you support rigged elections.

    Just sayin'.

It is true that the authorities could have handled it better than using violence and threats. But in all honesty, we've gotta take a good look at ourselves and wonder, what was our real reason for attending the rally?

Was it really to make a stand and support our legitimate cause?
    Was it for political reasons?
Or was it simply an outlet to rage?

If you ask me, the freak accident was very much civilian's fault as much as the authorities'. Yes, he shouldn't have been driving so fast. But then, we shouldn't have been throwing things that could freaking break his car window! Normal human instinct when alone and being attacked by an angry mob, is to stay in the car where it is safer than being outside, and fleeing when you could be hit in the head anytime.

And because of both side's dumbness, an innocent bystander suffered.
A poor reporter was mistaken as the police and repeatedly punched in the face.
People grabbed whatever they could and started swinging them around, jumping on top of the car like barbarians.

Is that what we are now?
Because hell, I thought we were a developing nation.
I'm so sorry I stand corrected.

Media is shit because each side only reports what they want people to believe, and the worst thing is that people only believe what they want to believe! The authorities happily advertise that "the angry mob overturned a police car", completely and very conveniently omitting the fact that people thought someone was trapped under the car after the police car rammed into civilians, hence flipped it over to free that person (for the benefit of those who don't speak Malay, you can hear someone shouting "Ada orang di bawah!" which translates to "There's someone underneath!").

Oh. And just for the record. This bitch needs to stop being so fucking retarded.

Leave the politics for elections, okay?
We're really not interested in this blame game.

    Are You Ready?

I swear I am never watching cooking Youtube videos again in the middle of the night.

It is now 1am and out of procrastination from my studies (yeah as if you haven't done that before lol), I have just watched a video on how to make beer-battered onion rings. They looked so damn good and I can practically taste it and now I am hungry because I am an idiot who continued to watch other videos, such as salt and pepper squid rings, hot chicken wings and tiramisu.

So to satisfy my craving, I poked around in the kitchen and found absolutely nothing interesting, save for a Kit Kat bar. So I guess, it's better than nothing, but I was wrong, because after that Kit Kat bar I am still craving for that stupid onion ring! So in conclusion, if I had had nothing, that would have saved me the calories because it sure didn't help with my craving.

I now realise that I am ranting, about onion rings, in the middle of the night. Lol!

Completely pointless and utterly dumb post, but yes, I think it's time to sleep. :p

On a side note, this entry from 2007 made me lol because I was holding my breath reading it, thinking when was this and why don't I remember a gunman?!

The World Is A Strange Place

They say a picture paints a thousand words..

So although I have been hiding away from civilization (or should I say taken captive? Lol), there have been memorable times..

    The pizza parties at work,

And the absolutely lovely meals we have at times..

    The fireworks that amaze me,

    and the fireworks that hurt..

One year later, at the exact table,

And never in my life, till now.

I had my breath taken away,

and I ran for my life. Lol.

Not bad for someone who had alot of time constraints, I'd say. :)

These last few months have been months of revelations. I've met people I want to kill, and people whom I adore/admire. Thoughts that never crossed my mind have found its way to my consciousness, and conclusions made which contradict my initial perceptions.

Today, I find myself getting addicted to korean dramas again and learning how to use the Internet (imagine that!). The world is a strange place, and I am not complaining one bit. :)

    The Most Beautiful Sight

I gotta say.. after 5 months of hard work, stress, weekends and public holidays sacrificed.. this has got to be the most beautiful sight yet.

So we have archived, and I am free and full of glee!! :D

At least for the next few weeks, as I relive my life as a student whose exam materials are still in the box.. as usual. Lol.

Hello world. I have missed you so. :)

    Why So Serious..

I always feel like I'm re-emerging from death itself whenever I blog again. It's like, surprise, I'm alive and back, and a collective gasp of surprise-mixed-with-pleasure should follow, ideally.

Firstly, happy new year everyone, it has been a hell of a year, 2011 was. Moments that will define my life for a long time to come. The many memories made, people who have come and gone, achievements and mistakes learned from, and the process of growing into my own person.

Work-wise, I'm starting to get an idea of what is expected of me, after one year plus in. There was a lot I had to figure out on my own at first, but I survived that, and I continue to learn, with the help and counsel of those who have been there before me. It's encouraging when these people take time off their busy schedule for me, which always has the added side-effect of stressing me out slightly. But I know that, regardless of whether I'm ready or not, I've got to step up.. and I won't say that I definitely can, but I'm doing my best, and I hope that'll be enough to pull me through.

Enough serious talk! Lol. Please excuse me, work has taken up a significant part of my life. :p

    I turn 24 soon! (:
Mixed emotions.. but I can't wait.
The birthday I almost didn't have..

And so, because I said enough serious talk, I have run out of things to talk about lol!
(Actually I just got lazy haha)

I leave you with a comment my sis said, and until next time, have an awesome 2012!

Sis: You don't need makeup to be pretty.
    Me: Awwww, really?? :D
Sis: Yeah, you need LOTS of makeup to be pretty! Kekeke!
    Me: =.=
