    Michi Is An Angel :D

Just have to share the laugh. Michelle sent this link to me and it cracked me up so bad:

    Free Photo Booth
    by FunCage.com

You have to see it. Really, go see it! :)

    Also, while surfing FunCage.com:

A wife was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her husband.

Suddenly, her husband burst into the kitchen.

'Careful,' he said, 'CAREFUL! Put in some more butter! Oh my GOD! You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY! Turn them! TURN THEM NOW! We need more butter. Oh my GOD! WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER? They're going to STICK! Careful . CAREFUL! I said be CAREFUL! You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! Never! Turn them! Hurry up! Are you CRAZY? Have you LOST your mind? Don't forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!'

The wife stared at him. 'What in the world is wrong with you? You think I don't know how to fry a couple of eggs?'

The husband calmly replied, 'I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving.'

Ah, just what I needed. Thanks, Michi! ♥

    JKLM! :)

Yesterday marked the end of the sem for my friends and I. So, as always, we made every excuse to have dinner together, this time at Sichuan House. My friends have been gushing about how incredibly yummy the food is, how much they love this and that, and how they can't wait to go again. So naturally, I couldn't wait either!

The turn out was really good though. Everyone came except Kitmun and John, and we managed to order alot of dishes. The food was good; spicy. Hahah. But Shanice says the taste is only 20% of what real Sichuan food is like. And for some reason, yesterday Shanice and Manrou (who were sitting on either side of me) were sooo awesomely sweet and nice! They kept taking food for me, even when I didn't ask them! Hahah. So nicee. :)

But when I asked them why they were being so nice, they said it's because the president is paying for dinner. =.=

    Hahah. Inside joke.

After everyone ate their fill, we still ended up having to play the number game again just to finish off the food. :p

After finishing dinner, we were walking when suddenly someone said we should go karaoke one day. Then suddenly we decided we should go now! So we went. Haha.

I tell you, these people can sing, even the guys! During the six whole hours we were there, from 9pm to 3am, we had Chinese songs about half of the time, and English songs for the other half. And a few things happened.

    1) Sang "Don't Cha" by PCD with the rest, and when we got to "Dontcha wish your girlfriend was hot like me?", Roger enthusiastically went "Yea!" even when Shanice was next to him. Hahaha. The joker.
    2) YMCA! Fun. :)
    3) I am supposedly sexier when I sing (Joanne, 2009). HAHA.
    4) Sorrryyyyyy! >.<

It was fun. Not something we can do often though, because it is wayy expensive over here, but fun nonetheless. :)

Who's up for karaoke when I get back? :p

    Surprise!

    * Edited. Added pics on Li's birthday. Thanks to Manrou for the pics!

It's finally the last week of uni, and as we do every sem around this time, everyone is still reeling from the shock of the realisation that the sem has flown by and we are one sem closer to graduation, and exams are just around the corner.

Regardless! A birthday is a birthday, and we made sure to celebrate them, exams or not.

First it was Kye Li's surprise party. It was so fun to surprise her, like seriously! Why don't we do it more often? First we went to her and Kitmun's place while she was out having dinner with Jia Hao, and the whole group was there, including a few new people. We had to discuss exactly how to surprise her. We hid all our shoes, bags and jackets. Then we took out the lightbulbs at the front door. Then we made very sure that when we were at our hiding places, we wouldn't be visible from the front door or reflected in the windows! Were we meticulous or what. ;)

When she was just outside, we were deathly quiet. Then when she came in, we jumped out as soon as we saw her, and boy was she surprised! Hahaha. It was so fun! :)

We were also so sweet, everyone wore green because it's her favourite colour. Shanice even went out to buy a new green top just for it. :)

    Green according to gradients!
L-R: Shanice, Miao Jie, Carmen, Kitmun, Isabella, Joanne, me

Had a cake for her, which looked like a chocolate wantan. Hahah.

    The chocolate wantan.

    Cutting cake!

    Party hats. Haha.

Later had the drinking session, with Baileys, Midori, Malibu, Vodka and one more I can't remember. Played the first game, which was a note would be stuck on your forehead and you had to guess what word on the note was.

I tell you, when Keith started sticking all the notes on everyone's forehead, I was like o.O! When I saw what was stuck on Ray's forehead, I swear everyone burst out laughing. Because it read: Retarded. Hahahah.

Well, I fared only slightly better, because I got Ugly. Like wth right!! Hahaha. I told Keith I'd kill him if he stuck a bad one on me, and later he tried to pacify me by saying the words were opposite of what each person got. For example, Jia Hao was Pretty and Roger was Stupid (and he's a tutor!). So I was pacified, and Keith lives on. Hahah.

It was really funny when they were asking questions to try to guess their words. Roger asked the funniest questions:

"Guys, if you went out to pick girls up, would you bring me along?"
to which the guys replied "Yeah definitely!"

    "Girls, would you like me?"
to which some of us went "Yes" and the others went "No". Hahah.

And he thought his word was Gay. Lol!

Sitting around with the notes on our heads.
I missed "Sexy" by one person! Hahah.

After that, played Ring of Fire, another drinking game. It was hilarious because we banned so many words, like "Drink" and "You". And John couldn't smile because it was a rule, and he ended up trying not to smile out of habit even when the rule was lifted. Then after tahan-ing for a while, he'd be like, "EH WTH I can laugh now.. HAHAHAHA".

Half of us left around 1am to catch the tram home, but ended up having to walk anyway. I heard the rest continued playing charades which were also very fun until 3am. Hahah.

Last Saturday, we celebrate Li's birthday. She invited us for a formal dinner at her college, where we attended mass there before the dinner. It was my first time in such a traditional, Catholic mass before, complete with the pipe organ and priests in robes and pews. I was quite awed at everything, and scared at how serious everyone was, and curious as to how everything ran. Haha. A good experience. :)

Next we had drinks in the courtyard, where we took a lot of photos together.

    The birthday girl and Manrou!

    Camwhoring!

    Li and her guests.

    Looking very pretty. :)

I like this pic, Manrou! :)

    The courtyard.

    Rose and I.

Then we had the dinner. The food was nice. But halfway through the main course, there were speeches, and I noticed that everyone stopped eating while the speech was given, so I stopped eating too. And the speech went on for at least half an hour to an hour! By then we were stealing small bites whenever we could, trying not to make any noise in the process, though that was hard. By the time the speeches ended, my food was cold. :(

    Entree.

    Main.

    Dessert.

Joanne, looking so cute here, with the balloons and all :)

As the namecard says: Manrou, FFK King, and me. :p

    And that's that! :)

    Paparazzi

Last Friday, attended the Paparazzi Ball. And somehow, every girl came over to my tiny place to get ready for the ball. Imagine: EIGHT girls hiding in my bedroom while the poor guys sat in the hall waiting and watching TV. Hahah. We didn't think we'd take long, maybe about 1 hour + but ohmygod you won't believe the different types of wardrobe malfunctions we had, and frantic girls running around looking for this and that, which my poor modest empty place didn't have. We ended up being late by over an hour.

My bedroom, looking like a tornado struck.
Eight girls' worth of hangbags, makeup bags, outfit bags and jackets.

Roger called a cab, and we tottered downstairs in our high heels, all made up.

    The aforementioned eight girls.

Picked Michelle up, and soon we reached the entrance of the Hilton. We got down and walked up the spiral staircase, before being stopped by "paparazzis", which was just one guy with a DSLR. Haha.

    The girls at table 11.

    The lucky three guys.

We managed to reach just in time (despite being late; see how early we would've been if we had been on time!). There were performances. And they of course had to start with a rendition of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi".

And then there were more performances. Everyone near the front just had to stand up and block the view, which pretty much pissed me off.

    Posing outside the "ballroom".

Though, I must say, the table next to us, which were mostly Mauritius people whom we knew, they were pretty much in a world of their own. From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, they just kept drinking and drinking. Non-stop drinking! Toasting and drinking. Coming over to our table and toasting each person and drinking! Zomg. Hahaha. They were funny. :)

    Roger carrying Shanice. :)

    And John carrying Roger. LOL.

The food was okay. Nothing great. But the alcohol was free flow! :)

Our main course, which was two small pieces of lamb.

Of course, since it was free-flow, I got challenged by the guys to finish my glass of wine in one go, and so I did. Each of us had a fair bit to drink, then we had a toast towards the end. This picture made me laugh:

See that finger pointing at the orange juice!
Hahaha. I think we were saying, EHH no fair, no orange juice!!

Oh, and there was a grand piano outside! I couldn't resist. :)

Not posing; I was really playing!
And I really miss playing the piano. :(

A super super sweet picture of Kye Li and Jia Hao.
Jia Hao came on the day of the prom itself hahah. Really salute him.

They had a (not-professional) photographer standing at the entrance, complete with studio lights and all, and I must say that some of the pictures turned out well and some... well, could've been better.

Joanne and Miao Jie (I still don't know how to spell her name haha)

    Kye Li and Jia Hao.

    Us.
Isn't it cool that all the girls are wearing different colours! :p

    The girls.

    Joanne and a hungry John.

    Roger and Shanice.

Left directly after dessert to get to the club, since we'd have priority entrance before 11pm (part of the prom).

I think I was abit high at that point, or maybe a little tipsy by then, because when I got down from the cab when we reached the club, I stumbled on the steps a little and nearly fell HAHA, but I didn't of course. ;)
And if you're wondering why a cab has steps, it was a large cab for 12 people.

And yes, it was my first time clubbing ever, so I was quite excited.

We were pretty early, and one of the two dancefloors was empty. Roger tried to get Shanice and us to dance at the empty one, but we felt way too weird so we decided to start at the crowded one first.

I think what's best about clubs is that it's really dark so even if you make a fool of yourself dancing, no one can see, but then no one is probably watching. They're too busy dancing themselves. So yeah after a while, we started to loosen up. It helped that Roger and John were so sporting. :)

The only decent picture of me in the club.
    With Joanne and Manrou.

Though, I never realised how tiring dancing is. I mean, seriously, dancing in those high heels in a crowded room full of people is tiring! I was already slightly dizzy before dancing; I became even dizzier after dancing. And it's so easy to lose people in there!

But I had fun. We all danced in a group, sometimes in a circle and randomly pushed each other to the middle of our circle. Haha.

    It was fun. :)

    Calvin's Classic 21st

Celebrated Calvin the relative's 21st birthday yesterday at one of the parks near Yarra River. The theme was the 40s, and since I didn't want to buy something I would never wear again, I decided to go with the only relatively-40s thing in my wardrobe, which was a simple black dress.

Went late, with Kitmun, Emily and Eric. While walking, Em commented on how good the weather was. I agreed, and later when Em was taking photos, I joked that the three of us could walk on like models in the picture. And Eric just had to say, "Wow Janice the weather must be really good for you to call me a model too" and later when I said the party is missing four important people, he went, "Wow the weather must be really good that I'm important too!". I was like -.-  I will never try to be nice to him ever again hahah. :p

Reached, wished the birthday boy, wow-ed at the clothes some of them had on, took pictures (of course haha), and ate while we talked.

    With the three private investigators!
Hannah, Davin and Joel, all three looking smashing in their trenchcoats and hats. :)

    Stole Hannah's hat. :p

    With my brother Michael!
    See the resemblence?

    Lenglui and lengchai! :)

    Nick and Jilly!
    They look so cute la!

    With Venxhin and Nick.

    The three of them again.
Told you I love their outfits la. Hahah.

Had a slave auction, among them baking skills, dinner, massage, piano lessons, etc. They're crazy; they upped the bids by so much that I just sat there and listened. Working/rich people. Bah. :p

Calvin and Meliza auctioning off Gwen's baking and decorating skills.

The bidders. The richer ones, anyway. -.-

After the auction, I was nice enough to offer a freezing Eric my jacket because I didn't need it:
Me: Eric, you can have my jacket if you want.
Eric: No way, I'm not wearing a girl's jacket.
Me: Please la, if you're manly enough, any jacket you wear will be manly too okay.
Eric: Ookay fine! Give me the jacket!

And so he tried to pull it off as manly, haha but you tell me what you think. :p

Eric's new FB profile pic haha.

Finally the birthday boy gave a little speech, followed by cutting his cake.

    Calvin! :)

The cake and muffins baked by Pammie!
I heard she made 80 muffins that day. Zomg.

And that was Calvin's Classic 21st! Haha. Sorry my description doesn't do it justice, but yeah it was fun! The weather was lovely and the people were dressed so nicely. :)
